Be BAD - a Bobcat with an Accounting Degree
Every student, regardless of major, who is currently enrolled at Texas State University and who is interested in the field of accounting is eligible for membership in the Accounting Club. Students must join the Club (and pay dues of $20) no later than February 1st, 2019. Membership entitles students to participate in meetings with expert guest speakers, be in the recruiters resume' book, go on office visits to CPA and other firms, and attend recruiting events (such as "Meet the Firms" and "Showcases").
The Accounting Club sponsors a wide variety of activities to provide members with opportunities to develop their knowledge of the real-world operations of the professions of accounting, financial services, and information technology. These include:

April 11, 2019: Speaker Meeting
"The Ethics of Enron" by Michael E. Anderson, FBI Agent and director of the Task Force for the Enron investigation
This meeting will include a very exciting discussion of the ethics of Enron's leadership, culture & accounting that facilitated unethical, criminal behavior and contributed to the failure of the seventh largest company in America. This discussion will also provide a retrospective on how the FBI investigated the most complex White Collar Crime case in FBI history, resulting in the convictions of 23 people and forfeiture of more than $100 million to the victims of the Enron fraud. Information will also be provided about careers in the FBI and the required qualifications.
