Meet the Firms 2018

MEET THE FIRMS, the fall Accounting job fair, on Friday, September 21st (1pm-4pm in the LBJ Ballroom).

Meet the Firms is Texas State University's premier event that invites representatives from public, private, and government accounting organizations and departments to discuss career opportunities one-on-one with students and recent alumni of the accounting, finance, and information systems disciplines. Meet employers from various accounting organizations who will be seeking summer interns, part-time and full-time employees.

The Resume Book

What is the Resume Book?

The Resume Book contains resumes of Accounting Club, Beta Alpha Psi and NABA members and is given to all firms who attend Meet the Firms, the fall Accounting job fair where firms actively recruit from Texas State University. It is an excellent way to ensure a firm has a copy of your resume and knows about your accomplishments. Before submitting your resume to be included in the Resume Book, please make sure it is in perfect form! Besides getting your family and friends to proofread and offer suggestions, you can get help with your resume from your professors, the Accounting Club faculty advisors, as well as Texas State's Career Services. Bruce Howard (bhoward@txstate.edu), the Career Services liaison to McCoy college is always willing to help you in perfecting your resume!

What are the requirements to join the Resume Book?

  • Pay your membership dues ($20) for the current semester. Due to the short time period between the start of school and the Meet the Firms, we would like to include as many resumes as possible. If you plan on becoming a member, you will be eligible to enter your resume in the Resume Book.
  • Download and fill out the resume template found below, saving it as a PDF. For help on how to save a document as a PDF see below.

How do I submit my resume?

Submit your resume (must use the 1-page approved template linked to on the registration page) no later than 5pm on Thursday, September 13th : http://accounting.mccoy.txstate.edu/recruiting/Meet-the-Firms-Students.html

Resumes not formatted in the approved template will not be included.
